This project analyses the blog as a new form of multimedia literary production in which the influence of traditional genres of literary expression intersects with new forms of electronic communication. Studying the ways in which communication with the readership takes place allows us, first, to map the blog with contemporary forms of expression; second, to determine the generic status of the blog and to work out a genre typology for blogs, and third, to create a conceptual framework for studying linguistic techniques specific to blogs. The methodology devised in the course of this project will serve as a base for further research on electronic literary production. The project is funded by the National Science Centre (NCN) Preludium grant, no. 2011/03/N/HS2/06232, 2012-2014.
